Cisco switches perform at their specification only when the physical cabling meets standards. We verify that patch cables, horizontal runs, and fibre backbone (where applicable) are all tested and certified to CAT6 or OM3/OM4 fibre standards as appropriate. A Cisco-equipped network with substandard cabling will underperform and generate difficult-to-diagnose intermittent faults.
