Poly Studio X appliances running Microsoft Teams Rooms require a dedicated Microsoft 365 Teams Rooms resource account — a licensed room account that shows the room's calendar on the device touchscreen and allows meeting joins. We configure the Teams Rooms resource account in Microsoft 365, enrol the Poly Studio X device in the Teams Admin Center, apply the correct Teams Rooms policy, and register the device in Poly Lens cloud device management for remote monitoring and update management. For Zoom Rooms, we configure the equivalent Zoom account and room registration process.
After physical installation, all Poly meeting room audio systems are commissioned with a live Teams or Zoom test call to a remote endpoint, checking speaker volume levels, microphone pickup, NoiseBlockAI background noise rejection, and camera auto-framing behaviour.
