Sonos Commercial Audio Systems Dubai

We supply and install Sonos for Business wireless multi-room audio systems and Sonos Architectural in-ceiling speakers for offices, hotels, restaurants, and retail spaces across Dubai — wireless-first, streaming-native background music that is far simpler to deploy and manage than traditional 100V line commercial audio, yet delivers premium sound quality.

Sonos — Wireless Multi-Room Audio That Actually Works in Commercial Spaces

Sonos built its reputation on exceptional streaming audio quality and a seamless multi-room experience — and the commercial (Sonos for Business) and architectural product lines bring those same qualities to Dubai's offices, hospitality venues, and retail spaces. Unlike traditional 100V line commercial audio systems that require complex amplifier sizing, impedance calculation, and dedicated audio cabling infrastructure, Sonos systems connect via your existing WiFi network — dramatically reducing installation complexity and cost, particularly in completed spaces where ceiling cable routing would be disruptive.

Sonos integrates natively with Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal (popular in the UAE), and thousands of internet radio stations — giving business owners access to a vast selection of streaming music sources without needing a separate media server or CD player. Each zone is independently controllable from the Sonos app on any iOS or Android device — a hospitality manager can set the lobby to lounge jazz, the restaurant to upbeat background music, and the bar to something livelier, all from a single app on their phone.

Sonos Products We Supply & Install

Sonos Amp

The Sonos Amp is the backbone of Sonos commercial installations using passive (traditional) speakers — a streaming amplifier that connects to any 4–8 ohm or 70V/100V line passive ceiling speakers, adding Sonos multi-room streaming to conventional speaker infrastructure. 125W stereo output. Digital input for external audio sources. Used to integrate Sonos streaming into existing Bose or other passive speaker systems, or to power Sonos Architectural in-ceiling speakers.

Sonos Era 100 & Era 300

Sonos Era 100 and Era 300 are standalone wireless speakers — no separate amplifier required. Place on a shelf, counter, or mount on a wall bracket, connect to WiFi, and they are part of the Sonos system. Era 300 supports Dolby Atmos spatial audio. Suitable for smaller spaces — a reception desk, boutique retail counter, private dining room, or executive office — where a full ceiling speaker installation would be disproportionate and a single quality wireless speaker delivers the desired result.

Sonos Architectural In-Ceiling Speakers

Sonos Architectural speakers (designed in partnership with Sonance) — flush-mount in-ceiling and in-wall passive speakers requiring a Sonos Amp for power and streaming. Available in round and square profile. Low-profile grille that flush-mounts into drywall or ceiling tile. The clean, architecturally integrated solution for hospitality and high-end retail environments where visible speaker hardware would compromise interior design aesthetics.

Sonos Port

Sonos Port brings Sonos streaming to existing traditional amplifiers and audio systems — connects via analogue or digital audio output to your existing equipment. If you have an existing background music amplifier and speaker system in your Dubai commercial space that sounds fine but cannot stream from Spotify or Tidal, a Sonos Port adds that capability without replacing the existing infrastructure. Popular for upgrade projects in Dubai hospitality venues.

Sonos for Business Licensing

Commercial use of Sonos (playing music in a business where customers or the public are present) requires a commercial music licence from the relevant performing rights organisations, and Sonos for Business is the configuration mode that ensures compliance-appropriate functionality. We configure all commercial Sonos installations in Sonos for Business mode and advise on the appropriate music licensing arrangement for your Dubai business type.

Multi-Zone Music Systems

Multi-zone Sonos deployments with different music playing in different areas simultaneously — lobby, restaurant, bar, pool, gym — each independently controlled from the app. Grouped zones for simultaneous play across multiple areas during events. Schedule-based automation — morning playlist starts at 8am, lunch playlist switches at 12pm, evening ambience from 6pm — reducing staff management overhead for background music operation.

Our Sonos System Installation Process

Zone Mapping & Equipment Selection

We begin by identifying each audio zone — which areas need independent music control, whether they need ceiling speakers (requiring Sonos Amp) or can use standalone Era speakers, and what the architectural aesthetic requirements are. Zones with suspended ceilings and a requirement for discrete audio use Sonos Architectural in-ceiling speakers with a Sonos Amp in the comms cabinet — zones where ceiling access is impractical use Era speakers.

WiFi Infrastructure Check

Sonos systems require reliable WiFi with sufficient signal strength throughout all zones. Before installation, we verify WiFi coverage at each planned Sonos device location. If your existing WiFi has dead spots, we coordinate with your IT team or recommend a WiFi improvement as a prerequisite. Sonos devices can also be wired via Sonos Boost or directly to a switch via Ethernet, which we recommend for commercial installations where reliability is paramount.

Sonos Amp Installation & Speaker Wiring

For in-ceiling speaker installations: standard 2-core speaker cable (16AWG or 14AWG) run from the Sonos Amp location to each ceiling speaker position. Sonos Amp rack-mounted or installed in a communications cabinet alongside your network equipment. Ceiling speakers installed and wired. System powered on and Sonos setup completed via the Sonos app.

System Configuration & Streaming Setup

All Sonos devices connected to your WiFi network and registered in the Sonos app under your business account. Rooms named per zone. Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, or internet radio sources connected. Scheduling configured — automatic start/stop times and playlist selections per zone. Staff demonstrated on the Sonos app: how to change zones, group rooms, set volume, and switch playlists. Simple enough for non-technical staff to manage confidently from day one.

Sonos vs. Traditional 100V Line Commercial Audio in Dubai

Traditional commercial audio (Bosch, Bose 100V line systems) requires specialised amplifier design, complex cabling, and a dedicated audio contractor. Sonos requires WiFi and standard speaker cable. For a 5-zone Dubai restaurant fit-out, a Sonos system can typically be installed in a fraction of the time at a lower cost, with no proprietary programming tool required — the Sonos app is the interface.

The trade-off is that Sonos is a consumer-grade commercial system, not a life-safety audio platform. It is not EN 54 certified and cannot serve as an emergency PA system. For spaces requiring emergency audio, Sonos handles the background music and traditional commercial audio handles the life-safety overlay.
